IBORI`s TOP SUPPORTER SENATOR NWAOBOSHI UNDER INVESTIGATION AFTER VISITING EX - DELTA GOVERNOR

Indications have emerged that Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, a staunch supporter of former Delta state governor James Ibori, is now under investigation for corruption.

Sahara Reporters reports that Sen. Nwaoboshi is currently being investigated for reportedly converting a federal property in Apapa, Lagos state to his personal use.

The development comes just days after Nwaoboshi travelled to London to visit Ibori who was recently released from a prison in the United Kingdom.

Nwaoboshi recently reportedly claimed that Ibori held so much power even while serving a 13-year sentence in the UK. He reportedly claimed that Ibori made him a senator, made his daughter a state house of assembly member and anointed two governors in the state.

Nwaoboshi also claimed that Ibori gave political assistance to Senate President Bukola Saraki and Speaker Yakubu Dogara.

Meanwhile, Godknows Igali, a former permanent secretary in the ministry of power, has been accused of misappropriation of government funds by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Igali was discovered by the EFCC to have reportedly spent N1.5billion to buy vehicles that were used for former president Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign organisation.
