THE START OF BOKO HARAM, CAMP ZERO WAS BUILT BY IBB - Imam Imam

Former military head of state, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB) allegedly built the Camp Zero strong hold of the Boko Haram insurgents.

The base of the insurgents which had been tagged Camp Zero by the Nigerian army was reportedly captured on Friday, December 23, by troops attached to Operation Lafiya Dole.

The spokesman to Sokoto governor, Malam Imam Imam, has disclosed that the Camp Zero which was the last strong hold of the insurgents was built by former military head of state, Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (IBB).

According to Imam Imam, the Camp Zero was an old training site, with underground bunkers, built by Babangida for his ill-fated national guards project before it was taken over by Boko Haram terrorists.

Following the alleged disclosure by the government spokesperson, some Nigerians queried how to the insurgents got to know about the abandoned military site.

Others also tried to draw a connection between the insurgents and the former military head of state.
